Nonlinear response of a parametrically excited buckled beam   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
A nonlinear analysis of the response of a simply-supported buckled beam to a harmonic axial load is presented. The method of multiple scales is used to determine to second order the amplitude- and phase-modulation equations. Floquet theory is used to analyze the stability of periodic responses. The perturbation results are verified by integrating the governing equation using both digital and analog computers. For small excitation amplitudes, the analytical results are in good agreement with the numerical solutions. The large-amplitude responses are investigated by using a digital computer and are compared with those obtained via an analog-computer simulation. The complicated dynamic behaviors that were found include period-multiplying and period-demultiplying bifurcations, period-three and period-six motions, jump phenomena, and chaos. In some cases, multiple periodic attractors coexist, and a chaotic attractor coexists with a periodic attractor. Phase portraits, spectra of the responses, and a bifurcation set of the many solutions are presented.  相似文献

Steady-progressive-wave solutions are sought to the nonlinear wave equation derived previously [J. Fluids Struct. 16 (2002) 597] for flexural motions of an elastic beam traveling in an air-filled tube along its center axis at a subsonic speed. Fluid-structure interactions are taken into account through aerodynamic loading on the lateral surface of the beam subjected to small but finite deflection but end effects and viscous effects are neglected. Linear dispersion characteristics are first examined by exploiting the small ratio of the induced mass to the mass of the beam per unit length. Centered around the traveling speed of the beam, there exists such a narrow range of propagation velocity that the linear steady propagation is prohibited. In this range, it is revealed that some interesting nonlinear solutions exist. The periodic wavetrain is found to exist as the exact solution. Asymptotic analysis is then made by applying the method of multiple scales and the stationary nonlinear Schrödinger equation is derived for a complex amplitude. A monochromatic solution to this equation corresponds to the exact periodic solution. Imposing undisturbed boundary conditions at infinity, it is revealed that the localized solution exists as a result of balance between the linear instability and the nonlinearity. This solution is checked by solving the nonlinear equation numerically. It is further revealed that the amplitude-modulated wavetrain exists not only in the range of the velocity mentioned above but also outside of it.  相似文献

采用行波理论系统地研究了压电阶梯梁的自由振动分析以及强迫响应的分析方法. 基于分布 参数理论研究了压电阶梯梁的波传播特性,忽略柔性梁横向剪切和转动惯量的影响,给出了 梁的轴向和横向的简谐波解. 将压电阶梯梁离散化为单元,考虑压电片的刚度和质量的影响, 建立了节点散射模型. 应用位移连续和力平衡条件,推导了节点的波反射和波传递矩阵,在 此基础上,引入波循环矩阵的概念,给出波循环矩阵、波传递系数矩阵的确定方法. 应用波 循环矩阵可以有效地计算结构的固有频率. 另外,应用波传递系数研究了压电陶瓷作动器位 置对其驱动能力的影响. 得出两个主要结论:1)作动器靠近悬臂梁固定端将有较强的驱动 能力,悬臂梁边界反射行波产生弯曲消失波有利于增大压电波的模态传递系数;2)模态传 递系数与固有频率的灵敏度密切相关,波传递系数越大, 对应该处固有频率变化灵敏度越大. 另外,数值算例表明了行波方法比有限元方法具有更高的计算精度.  相似文献

分析了一类形状记忆合金(SMA)纤维混杂层合粱用于振动控制的动力学模型和作用机理.采用多胞模型、形状记忆合金一维本构关系分析方法,同时考虑横向剪切的影响,建立了层合梁的数学模型.半主动控制是通过改变受控结构的参数来减小结构振动的响应.根据开关控制原理确定可变刚度系统的控制律,进行SMA纤维混杂层合粱的半主动控制的数值仿真.结果表明,将半主动控制应用于梁的振动控制是一种有效的方法.  相似文献

采用通光式传感法和直接测量特定时间间隔的探头原理,在闪光2号装置上进行了电子束辐照硬铝靶产生的喷射冲量耦合系数与能通量关系的研究。结果表明:在能通量为115~240J/cm2范围内,喷射冲量和亏损质量面密度都随能通量近似线性变化,而喷射冲量耦合系数随能通量增大而缓慢递增,并趋于一渐近值;硬铝产生喷射冲量的能通量阈值为40J/cm2左右;喷射冲量值为81~218Pas,亏损质量面密度为3.1 10-2~8.610-2g/cm2,喷射冲量耦合系数为0.70~0.98Pas/(J/cm 2)。  相似文献

A theoretical study is carried out on the dynamics of a magnetoelastic beam being in a step-pulsed magnetic field. For this aim, the magnetic potential and elastic energies are determined for the beam and partial differential equations are established according to Hamilton's principle. It is proven that the magnetoelastic beam can give a variety of complex behavior in the case of step-pulsed field excitations. An intermediate regime of two-well chaos is observed. Theoretical findings were found to be in a good agreement with the experimental results for the specific system parameters. The general conditions, obtained in Lacarbonara and Rega (Int. J. Non-linear Mech. (2002)), for orthogonality of the non-linear normal modes in the cases of two-to-one, three-to-one, and one-to-one internal resonances in undamped unforced one-dimensional systems with arbitrary linear, quadratic and cubic non-linearities are here investigated for a class of shallow symmetric structural systems. Non-linear orthogonality of the modes and activation of the associated interactions are clearly dual problems. It is known that an appropriate integer ratio between the frequencies of the modes of a spatially continuous system is a necessary but not sufficient condition for these modes to be non-linearly coupled. Actual activation/orthogonality of the modes requires the additional condition that the governing effective non-linear interaction coefficients in the normal forms be different/equal to zero. Herein, a detailed picture of activation/orthogonality of bimodal interactions in buckled beams, shallow arches, and suspended cables is presented.  相似文献

The Fourier series method was extended for the exact analysis of wave propagation in an infinite rectangular beam. Initially, by solving the three-dimensional elastodynamic equations a general analytic solution was derived for wave motion within the beam. And then for the beam with stress-free boundaries, the propagation characteristics of elastic waves were presented.
